37 2005 ford escape serpentine belt diagram

Hey all, I can't seem to find anything regarding the serpentine belt on my Sport Trac. Do you know when I should replace it? Also, it's my understanding that my truck has a timing chain, rather than a timing belt. Does this need any attention or maintenance that I can perform at home? Thanks! My wife had her vehicle serviced in November, 2014. As part of that service they replaced the serpentine belt. About two weeks ago, her car started overheating and she was told that both the water pump and serpentine belt needed to be replaced. I am wondering if the original Ford dealership who did the service is at fault for improper installation (and, therefore, whether or not I should call and attempt to get some sort of reimbursement from them), or whether the failed belt was a side effect o...

Hello. My serpentine belt snapped on my ford. I think there is a different name for it but that's what Google says. I can't seem to find the size for it anywhere. And the old belt got lost when the car broke down and got towed of. I think the belt is meant to be stretchy and ribbed but I can't find what length I need. Cheers

I've just bought an abarth insurance write off, looking to bring it back to life. Alternator isn't charging and power steering stops after a few minutes after ignition, which lends me to thinking there's a problem with the belt? 2005 ford escape serpentine belt diagram. Hi! I am trying to replace the serpentine belt myself, but can't find a diagram with labels anywhere for some reason. I am trying to figure out specifically where the tensioner is? Everything is so dirty, it all looks the same lol. Thank you for your time! Today I was starting up my van (67,000 miles, no previous issues or lights on) and heard a loud screeching noise for a few seconds then a faint smell of burnt rubber. It was around 10°F out and the air heater wasn't warming up. When I tried to drive it the battery light was on and the power steering wasn't working. The headlights went dim and the engine cut as I was trying to get back into my parking spot and it wouldn't start up again. I checked under the hood and all fluid/oil levels were norm... I am in the process of replacing the alternator on my 2005 Ford Focus ZX4 Duratec 2.0 and have found that the serpentine belt auto tensioner pulley bearings and the idler pulley bearings are very worn and need to be replaced. I plan on replacing the complete tensioner assembly and the belt idler. I have seen some references (below) concerning broken idler pulley bolts and want to do things right the first time.
